On August 30, 2024, the "Brothers Nobel Shipyard", part of the "Kalashnikov" concern, will lay down the first crabber of Project 6135. This was announced in a press release by the company "Marine Engineering Center SPb" (MEC SPb).
A contract for the construction of two crabbers was signed in April 2024 between "Brothers Nobel Shipyard LLC" and "Vostok LLC". The crabbers are being built as part of the second stage of the crab auctions, an important phase of the national program for the development of the maritime and fishing industries.
The first vessel is expected to be handed over to the customer in 2027, with the second one following in 2028.
The Project 6135 vessel is designed for crab fishing in the Pacific Ocean and surrounding non-Arctic seas. It will be equipped with specialized gear for catching crabs and transporting live crabs in insulated tanks, ensuring the preservation of the catch during transportation.
Technical specifications of the Project 6135 vessel:
Length: 61.35 m
Width: 13.0 m
Displacement: 1596.5 tons
Crew: 26 people

This vessel will play a key role in the development of the Russian fishing industry, enabling the efficient utilization of marine resources while meeting international standards for fishing and seafood transport.
