The composition of the Maritime Board of the Russian Federation will be expanded to include additional industry representatives. This was announced by the Chairman of the organization, Nikolai Patrushev, during the first meeting of the board on August 27.
According to him, representatives from various interested parties — including government authorities, the scientific community, public organizations, and business sectors — will be involved in the board's work. This move aims to improve collaboration among all stakeholders in the maritime sector and enhance the decision-making process.
“We are open to constructive dialogue and focused on long-term, productive cooperation,” said Nikolai Patrushev, as quoted by the press service of the Maritime Board.
Board meetings are planned to be held at least twice a year, ensuring regular discussions and allowing for a prompt response to current issues in maritime policy and economics.
It is worth noting that the Maritime Board was established on August 13, 2024, to coordinate state policy in the field of maritime transport and national maritime security. The Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation will provide the informational, analytical, and organizational support for the activities of the board.
