On May 31, the acceptance certificate for the ferry "Alexander Deev," built by shipbuilders at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, USC), was signed. The event was reported by the corporation’s press service.
According to USC, the acceptance document was signed by the CEO of ASZ, Mikhail Borovsky. “This is undoubtedly a significant event. We have completed all the work on the order and delivered everything we promised,” Borovsky noted. After receiving approval from all supervisory authorities, the shipbuilders proudly handed over the vessel to the customer — the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK).
Evgeny Ditrikh, head of GTLK, emphasized the importance of participating in such a large-scale project: "Building lead ships in a series is always a challenge for shipbuilders, and with 'Alexander Deev,' technological challenges were compounded by the pandemic and sanctions. Now that these difficulties have been overcome, the new ferry will improve transportation accessibility, increase comfort for local residents, and contribute to the economic security of the region."
The contract for the construction of two cargo-passenger ferries of the CNF11CPD project for the Vanino–Kholmsk route was signed in 2016. The ships were laid down in June 2017, and the first ferry, "Alexander Deev," was delivered to the customer in September 2022. The second ferry, "Vasily Oshchepkov," is expected to be delivered in 2023.
