A modern cold storage facility has officially started operations at the Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port, according to a report from the Russian Federal Agency for Fisheries dated May 19.
The facility is designed to enhance storage capacity and logistics for frozen fish and seafood, particularly during the peak fishing seasons. It is expected to boost both domestic supply and export volumes of Far Eastern marine products.
The project was implemented by a resident of the Free Port of Vladivostok — Vladivostok Fish Terminal LLC. The storage capacity of the new facility is 7,100 tons.
In 2021, the port handled a total of 507,000 tons of fish products. The new cold storage unit is set to become a key asset in supporting the storage and distribution infrastructure of the regional seafood industry.
