USC prepares a giant catamaran for the Caspian Sea

The United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) plans to build a high-speed catamaran ferry with a large payload capacity for operation in the Caspian Sea. This was announced to Russian President Vladimir Putin on July 27 during a meeting in Moscow by Alexey Rakhmanov, Director General of the USC.

As follows from Alexey Rakhmanov's speech, the vessel under development will be similar to the catamarans of the Australian company Austal, specializing in the construction of aluminum vessels with a capacity of up to 200 cars.
