The dry cargo ship IDEL 1 was launched by the Krasnoe Sormovo plant

The Krasnoe Sormovo shipyard (part of the USC) launched the first in a series of four dry-cargo ships of the RSD59 project, a vessel named IDEL 1. The cargo ship was built by order of the Russian shipping company Paul Rise.

A self-propelled single-deck dry cargo vessel with two cargo holds, with two full-turn offshore and mixed river/sea navigation Volga-Don Max class.

Main characteristics: length 140.88 m, width 16.98 m, side height 6 m, deadweight river/sea 5128/7535 t, cargo hold volume 11292 m, quantity holds — 2, draft river/sea  3.6/4.53 m, autonomy, day — 20/12.

The RSD59 project was developed by the Marine Engineering Bureau of Design St. Petersburg.

The working design documentation of the vessel was carried out by the Volga-Caspian Design Bureau.

The vessel is designed to transport general and bulk cargo, packaged lumber, roundwood, scrap metal, metal in bundles and rolls, bulky, long and heavy cargo, coal, dangerous goods and category B cargo.

Navigation areas: marine areas corresponding to a limited R2 navigation area with a wave height of 3% of 7.0 m, with a distance of no more than 100 miles from the place of refuge and an acceptable distance between the places of refuge of no more than 200 For example, the inland waterways of Russia, subject to restrictions, including the WWVP and the VDSK.

"Today we launched the first vessel in the second series of dry cargo ships for this company. In 2019, we will deliver three more vessels, IDEL 2, 3, 4, said the General Director of PJSC Krasnoe Sormovo Shipyard. In the near future, the IDEL 1 vessel will undergo mooring and sea trials, after which it will be handed over to the customer.

Recall that in November 2018, the Krasnoe Sormovo plant signed a three-way contract with the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLC) and the shipping company Paula Rise for the construction of the second series offour dry cargo vessels of the RSD59 project. Earlier in 2018, the Krasnoe Sormovo plant built a series of five dry cargo ships of the RSD59 project for the Paula Rise company.

In the near future, the IDEL 1 vessel will undergo mooring and sea trials, after which it will be handed over to the customer.

On behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and on behalf of myself, I would like to say a big thank you to all those who participated in the construction of this cargo ship, Yulia shared her impressions.
