On March 29, in St. Petersburg, after the successful completion of the tests, the acceptance certificate of the multifunctional rescue tugboat Bakhtemir, the lead vessel of the MPSV12 project, was signed. The vessel was built by Nevsky Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant LLC (Leningrad Region) for the Federal State Budgetary Institution Marine Rescue Service.

Factory number 1202 was laid on 06/02/15 and launched on 11/29/16.
Factory number 1203 was laid down on 03/11/16 and launched on 06/01/17.
Factory number 1204 was laid on 03/11/16 and launched on 11/30/17.
The design of the vessel was developed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (Ukraine), the vessel is designed to search for and assist ships in distress, tow ships and offshore facilities, extinguish fires on ships and coastal facilities, conduct underwater technical and diving operations onup to 60 meters deep, bottom surveys and sunken objects with the help of a remote-controlled uninhabited vehicle, evacuation and assistance to crews of emergency vessels, as well as to eliminate emergency oil and petroleum product spills.
