The marine tugboat "Sergey Balk" has entered sea trials

On July 12, the marine tugboat Sergey Balk left the waters of the Perseus shipyard and entered the Black Sea for sea trials. The lead tug of Project 23470 was built at the Yaroslavl Shipyard and launched on December 27, 2016, and arrived in Sevastopol in the summer of 2018 for completion at the Persey Shipyard.

After the tests are completed, the marine tugboat Sergey Balk will join the rescue forces of the Red Banner Black Sea Fleet.

Technical specifications:

• Displacement: about 3,200 tons.
• The main dimensions are: length 69.7 m, width 15 m, draft 5.2 m.
• Maximum running speed: 14 knots
• Cruising range: 3,000 miles
• Autonomy: 30 days
• The ship has an airstrip for receiving a helicopter.
