On July 27, 2019 In Astrakhan at the Shipbuilding Plant named after V. Lenin laid down a unique crane vessel for the Caspian Flotilla.

07/27/2019 A unique crane vessel for the Caspian Flotilla was laid in Astrakhan. This is the first Astrakhan project for the Russian defense Ministry capable of transporting loads weighing more than 150 tons. It will be built on a turnkey basis at the production site of the Lenin Shipbuilding Plant.

"This is a power-powered vessel with a fully rotating 150-ton crane, equipped with all modern equipment, including navigation, good running characteristics, and autonomy. This is the most complex facility to be built at this facility. We have enough competence to build this facility turnkey and deliver it to the customer on time," said Andrey Vakulenko, Director of Maris LLC.

Deadlines are tight. The construction is expected to be completed in November 2020. The vessel is large: displacement of 2 thousand tons. A unique floating dock was built specifically for this order.
