Mobile security control point launched in Krasnoyarsk Krai

This mobile control point for safety on water bodies has entered service with the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Specialists of the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels launched a boat, manufactured on the basis of KS-110-35 according to a special project of the leadership of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Territory at the Kostroma Shipyard. In the Siberian Federal District, this is the first and so far the only multi-purpose vessel to assist the supervisory and operational units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The 18-meter boat weighing 11 tons is undergoing testing. The new equipment was actually made to order by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory, taking into account the natural and climatic features of the region. The shipbuilders took into account all the customer's suggestions regarding the technical equipment of the vessel and the internal accommodation of the crew.

The boat can make long voyages, operate autonomously for a week and is designed for 8 working and sleeping places with the necessary household infrastructure (shower, kitchen, toilet). The boat is equipped with all types of telephone communication, and the conference room is equipped with videoconferencing, which makes it possible to maintain constant contact with both the Commander-in-Chief of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region and with other units and regional services.

“This is a real operational headquarters on the water, the equipment and technical equipment allow us to remotely monitor the progress of emergency rescue operations, both on the water and on land,” says Konstantin Trapeznikov, Chief State Inspector of the Krasnoyarsk Territory for small vessels of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. The vessel is multifunctional. A comfortable, equipped boat, which we purchased under a government order, will allow us to organize long-term business trips. Two light vessels, such as inflatable boats, can be loaded on board the KES, and during a long voyage along the Yenisei, they can be used to check ship owners. Since the territory of the region is large, at the same time, for the convenience of the population, we can travel to the districts and provide government services for the technical inspection of small vessels, their registration."

And another important operational purpose of the new equipment, rescuers note, is the function of environmental monitoring. Any incident, including a fire in the taiga, detected during an inspection can be promptly reported from the vessel to the relevant services so that timely measures can be taken.

In mid-June, after trial operation, the new Emergencies Ministry vessel will take up permanent duty until the end of navigation.
