Lead dredging vessel of the TSHD1000 project delivered to the customer

The Krasnoye Sormovo plant (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) and the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosmorport signed the act of transfer of the lead dredging vessel of the TSHD1000 project, the Sommers.

After successfully passing sea trials, the dredger left the plant harbor on June 10 and headed to its home port of Astrakhan. It should be noted that the home port is determined by the customer in accordance with the tasks currently relevant for the vessel.

This will be the first vessel built according to the Dutch TSHD 1000 project (designer: Damen Shipyard Gorinchem) for work in the waters and approaches to sea ports in Russia. The working design documentation for the vessel was prepared by the Volga-Caspian Design Bureau.

The Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard plans to transfer two more TSHD 1000 dredging vessels to Rosmorport until the end of 2016.

We remind you that the contract for the construction and delivery of TSHD 1000 project vessels was signed by Rosmorport and the Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard in April 2014 with the assistance of the Marine and Oil and Gas Projects (MNP) Group of Companies.

The main characteristics of the vessel: length - 62.6 m, width - 14 m, draft - 4.25 m, hold volume - 1000 cu. m. Project TSHD 1000 vessels are capable of developing soil at a depth of up to 20 m and operating at water temperatures from -2°C to +20°C.
