A ceremony of raising the national flag on the tugboat Tambey took place in the port of Murmansk. This evening the vessel will depart from the capital of the Arctic to Sabetta.
Tambey — multipurpose ice-class tugboat, the second in the series of vessels of the "Portoflot".
The tugboat has an ice class of Arc 4, while the hull is made for the ice class of Arc 5. It can overcome ice up to 60 cm thick. The crew of the tugboat is 10 people.
"The vessel behaves remarkably, steadily overcomes the waves confidently, so the crew can feel safe. There are more advanced navigation systems here, well, in principle, it is possible to learn, they have adapted, it has become easier to work, but it requires more knowledge and, accordingly, training," said the captain of the tugboat "Tambey" Igor Abakumov.
The tugboat was launched on February 26 in Krasnodar Krai, and on May 28 it left Novorossiysk for its home port of Murmansk.
Tambey is the second of five vessels in the port fleet, built by Kranship for work in the port of Sabetta.
