Construction of the vessel "Akademik Ageyev" at the Pella Shipyard

JSC Leningrad Shipyard Pella is building the oceanographic research vessel Akademik Ageyev of Project 16450. The vessel is being built by order of the Main Directorate of Deep-Sea Research (GUGI) of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the project was developed by JSC Severnoye Design Bureau (Saint Petersburg).

Akademik Ageyev is already the third vessel being built for GUGI at the new production site of LSZ Pella; since 2014, the experimental vessels Ladoga and Ilmen of Project 11982 have been under construction.
