Today in Navashino (Nizhny Novgorod Region) at the Okskaya Shipyard (part of UCL Holding) a ceremonial launch of the TG-17 project fire tugboat, built by order of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Marine Rescue Service of Rosmorrechflot", took place.
The tugboat is designed for towing ships and floating objects in marine conditions; performing auxiliary operations in the port waters; participation in operations to eliminate emergency spills of oil and oil products as an auxiliary transport for the delivery of OSR equipment, and also as a boom-laying operator during the installation of boom barriers outside the emergency spill area. The vessel is not intended to work directly in the spill area. And also to assist in extinguishing fires on floating and coastal facilities accessible from the sea and the transportation of general cargo on deck with loading and unloading by port facilities or a ship crane.
The customer's management was present at the keel-laying ceremony — Federal State Budgetary Institution "Maritime Rescue Service of Rosmorrechflot", the administration of the Navashinsky District and the Nizhny Novgorod Region, as well as other officials.
The godmother of the vessel was the legal consultant of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Maritime Rescue Service of Rosmorrechflot" AZOV-BLACK SEA BRANCH Malaya Marina Andreevna.
The contract for the construction of the fire tug TG-17 was concluded on April 8, 2015.
The designer of the vessel is Marine Engineering Bureau LLC.
