On October 5, 2016, PAO "Zavod 'Krasnoye Sormovo'" (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) launched the TSHD1000 dredging vessel "Kadosh" for FSUE "Rosmorport."
The vessel "Kadosh," named after the eponymous cape on the Black Sea near Tuapse, is the third and final vessel in a series of three identical dredgers built to order for Rosmorport.
Recall that this year, the customer has already received the TSHD1000 dredging vessels "Sommer" and "Kronshlot."
A contract for the construction and delivery of three TSHD1000 dredging vessels was signed by Rosmorport and the "Krasnoye Sormovo" plant in April 2014.
The vessels are optimally suited for operating conditions in the waters and approaches to Russian seaports. Universality combined with high productivity are the main advantages of the TSHD1000 dredgers.
The project was developed by the Dutch company Damen Shipyard Gorinchem, and the working design documentation was produced by the Volgo-Caspian PKB (part of the MNP Group).
Main characteristics: length — 62.6 m, width — 14 m, draft — 4.25 m, hopper volume — 1000 cubic meters. The TSHD 1000 vessels can dredge at depths up to 20 meters and operate at water temperatures from -2°C to +20°C. Vessel class: KM(*) Ice1 R1 AUT2 Hopper Dredger.
