The fleet of the Arkhangelsk branch of FSUE Rosmorport has been expanded with a new ice-class buoy boat, the Kapitan Shershnev. The vessel of Project 02781 was built by JSC GRAND (St. Petersburg) and transferred to Rosmorport in September 2016.

The buoy boat arrived in the port of Arkhangelsk on October 18, 2016 from the Big Port of St. Petersburg. The boat became the fourth navigation support vessel of the Arkhangelsk branch and the 17th vessel in the entire fleet of the branch.

Main technical characteristics of the vessel: Vessel class— KM*Ice3[1]R2 AUT3, length 25.18 m, width 6.6 m, side height 2.5 m, draft 1.4 m, speed 10.3 knots, crew 2 people.

The deck equipment of the buoy boat includes a crane-manipulator with a lifting capacity of 3.5 tons and a winch with a pulling force of 5 tons, which are capable of setting and removing medium-sized sea buoys of the "C-3" type or “MB-780”, equipped with anchoring devices with anchors weighing up to 3 tons.

The dimensions of the boat's deck make it possible, if necessary, to carry out technical maintenance of a medium sea buoy or a small sea buoy of the “BMM-P” type directly on board the vessel. The ice class of the vessel allows it to operate at temperatures down to -25 C° and to navigate independently in conditions of broken ice up to 70 cm thick.

With the help of the buoy boat “Captain Shershnev” The Arkhangelsk branch will carry out the installation and removal of floating navigation equipment on the approaches and in the waters of the seaports of Arkhangelsk, Naryan-Mar, Onega and Sabetta.
