On September 16, a launching ceremony for the icebreaking tug of FSUE "Atomflot," being built as part of the "Portoflot" project, took place at the LLC "Cranship" facility (Temryuk, Krasnodar Territory). The vessel, project "T40105," was named "Yuribey" (after the river flowing on the Yamal Peninsula).
— The icebreaking tug is equipped with Azipod ICE1400 azimuth thrusters and has an ice class of Arc 6, — says Mustafa Kashka, First Deputy General Director and Chief Engineer of FSUE "Atomflot."
— "Yuribey" will be capable of operating year-round in the port of Sabetta. This is an innovative tugboat with the latest electric propulsion system.
The power of the icebreaking tug "Yuribey" is 7 MW, with an icebreaking capability of 1 meter at a speed of 2 knots. Its length is 39.54 meters, and its width is 14 meters. The crew consists of 10 people.
The arrival of the icebreaking tug at the port of Murmansk is planned for the end of October. After that, the vessel will proceed to provide a range of port services in the Ob Bay.
Currently, tugs of project "T3150A," named "Pur" and "Tambey," continue to operate in the port of Sabetta.
