Baltic shipyard "Yantar" launched the lead trawler

The launching ceremony of the lead trawler seiner of the SK-3101R Leninets project for the Lenin Fishing Collective Farm (Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky) took place today at the Baltic Shipyard Yantar (PSZ, Kaliningrad).

The SK-3101R purse seiner trawler project was developed by the Norwegian company Skipskompetanse AS. The length of the vessel is 50.6 m, the width is 12 m, the power of the main engine is approx. 2200 kW. The design provides for the operation of bottom and pelagic trawls, snow guides and a wallet network.

The contract for the construction of three SK-3101R project trawlers was signed by the Yantar Fishing Company and the Lenin Fishing Collective Farm (Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky) in January 2016. This is the first contract in Russia for the construction of such vessels for a domestic customer over the past 20 years. According to the terms of the contract, the delivery of the entire series to the customer should take place in 2018.
