Today, at the shipbuilding plant "Lotus" (Narimanov, Astrakhan region), the first cruise paddle vessel of project PKS 180, intended for the tourism company "GAMA," was laid down.
In accordance with the contract signed on December 22, 2017, SSZ "Lotus" will build two vessels of this project, with delivery of the first vessel scheduled for 2019.
Technical specifications:
The combination of a shallow draft and a paddle propulsion system will allow the vessel to undertake cruises along shallow rivers and also approach unprepared shores. The vessel has been designed taking into account the experience from the construction and operation of passenger paddle vessels of PKS 40 project.

This newly laid vessel became the third cruise liner currently being built in Russia — in August 2016, the vessel "Pyotr Veliky" of project PV300VD was laid down at SSZ "Lotus," and in March of last year, the vessel "Knyaz Vladimir" of project PV300 was laid down at SSZ "Krasnoye Sormovo."
