GCC Krasnoe Sormovo launched the fifth cargo ship of the RSD59 project

Today, in Nizhny Novgorod at the shipbuilding plant "Krasnoye Sormovo," the dry cargo vessel "Pola Fiva" was launched. This is already the fifth and final dry cargo ship of project RSD59 built by SSZ "Krasnoye Sormovo" for the shipping company "Pola Rise." Another five vessels in the series are being built at the Nevsky Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant in Shlisselburg. The customer for the series of 10 dry cargo ships of project RSD59 is PJSC "State Transport Leasing Company."

The vessel design was developed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (Ukraine). The ship is intended for sea and mixed (river-sea) transportation of general and bulk cargoes, including metal, timber, coal, grain, as well as oversized and heavy cargoes. The dry cargo vessel has a long cargo hold measuring 77.3 meters for transporting oversized and heavy cargoes, while the ship's hull has the maximum possible dimensions for the Volga-Don Shipping Canal.
