Shipbuilders at "Severna Verf" Shipyard (part of United Shipbuilding Corporation, USC) are continuing the construction of the second longliner-processor of project MT1112XL "Marlin" (yard number 1114). This was reported by the shipyard in a press release on June 10, 2024.
According to the shipyard, the engine room has begun upgrading the cooling system for the electric motors of the azimuth thruster. In the wheelhouse, the installation of the control panel is underway. Storm ladders and the pilot ladder have already been installed. The volumes of ballast, fuel, and oil tanks have been checked, and work on the installation of provisions storerooms has started.
It is worth noting that the construction of the longliner "Marlin" is carried out under the order of "Globus". The vessel was laid down on September 14, 2018, and launched on November 12, 2020.
