Contract Signed for the Construction of Three Ice-Class Tugboats

FSUE "Rosmorport" and JSC "Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant" have signed a contract for the construction of three new ice-class port tugboats Arc4 of project NE038. The project was developed by the company "Nordic Engineering".

The delivery of the first vessel is planned for 2025, with the subsequent two ships to be delivered in 2026.

These tugboats will carry out a wide range of tasks, including the escort of large vessels, delivery of pilots, towing of ships and floating objects. They will also play a crucial role in emergency and rescue operations, fire-fighting activities, and transportation of special personnel and cargo. The ice-class feature will enable them to operate year-round in freezing non-Arctic seas.
