"Rostelecom" to Provide Communication Infrastructure for Coastal Facilities of the Northern Sea Route

PJSC "Rostelecom" and JSC "Atomenergoprom", part of the state corporation "Rosatom", have signed an agreement on strategic cooperation in the digital development of remote regions of Russia. The agreement was signed during the "Atomexpo 2024" forum in Sochi.

Under the agreement, the companies will work together to create telecommunications infrastructure that will ensure stable and reliable communication for facilities along the coast of the Northern Sea Route (NSR), including industrial zones, shift settlements, and small nuclear power plants.

The cooperation will also focus on the development of cloud services, equipment deployment, and the creation of digital platforms, which will improve the operational efficiency of Arctic facilities and enhance security.

Since 2018, "Rosatom" has been the infrastructure operator of the NSR, responsible for navigation, construction, security, and hydrographic support for Arctic shipping.
