Shipbuilders of Admiralty Shipyards Receive State Awards for Contribution to Shipbuilding and Defense Order

Workers of the Admiralty Shipyards, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), were honored with state awards for their significant contributions to their profession. The formal award ceremony took place at the Smolny, where Saint Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov presented the honors. This was reported by the company’s press service on November 7.

Among the recipients was a representative from the oldest shipbuilding enterprise in Saint Petersburg and Russia, who was awarded the Order of Honor for outstanding achievements in their professional activities. Additionally, two employees were honored with medals of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" II degree for their work on fulfilling state defense orders. Furthermore, a worker was awarded a certificate of honor from the President of the Russian Federation for their contributions to the state defense order.

Special attention was given to the significant contribution of the shipyard in the creation of the unique scientific expedition vessel, the ice-resistant self-propelled platform "North Pole." The Governor presented certificates of honor from the Russian Federation President to the company’s CEO, Andrei Veselov, and six other shipyard employees were awarded letters of gratitude.

As a reminder, on November 5, Admiralty Shipyards celebrated its 319th anniversary. Over more than three centuries, the shipyard has launched nearly 3000 ships and vessels of various types and classes.
