Sailing Ship "Mir" Hosts Sports Event for Cadets and Amateur Sailors

On July 9, a sports event took place on the upper deck of the sailing training vessel "Mir." The participants included cadets from the Admiral S.O. Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping and amateur sailors undergoing internships as part of the "Expeditions under the Sails of Mir" project.

The sports competitions were organized as part of the completion of another expedition, which this time took place under the theme "Fathers and Sons under Sails." The goal was to strengthen friendly ties, promote an active lifestyle, and maintain the proud traditions of the maritime fleet.

The event included pull-ups, push-ups, and tug-of-war.

Cadets of the "Mir" sailing vessel showed excellent physical training, winning all the top places in the push-up and pull-up events. In the tug-of-war finals, the cadet team defeated the interns' team in a tense competition.
