In the first week of operation of the regular river electric transport route in Moscow, over 15,000 trips were completed. This data was shared on June 30 by Sitronics Group, the parent company involved in the construction of the electric fleet, citing the Moscow Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development.
The official launch of the first regular river route for electric vessels in Moscow took place on June 20. The electric fleet serves the "Kievsky" – "Heart of the Capital" route.
For this project, the operator of the river passenger electric vessels for a period of 15 years was selected by the Moscow authorities in collaboration with "Passenger Port" (part of the "Vodohod" group). In December 2021, "Mashpromleasing" (part of USC) signed leasing contracts for 14 Ecobus passenger electric vessels for "Passenger Port."
The vessels are being built by "Emperium" LLC (part of Sitronics Group). The construction of the vessels is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia under the program for leasing marine and river civil vessels of USC.
