The Vanyin branch of Rosmorport received a certificate from the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot), confirming that the De-Kastri Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS) meets the requirements for category two radar VTMS. This was announced by Rosmorrechflot on January 24.
As noted in the agency’s statement, the De-Kastri VTMS also successfully passed recertification back in 2018, when it initially met the standards required for the operation of VTMS equipment at the coastal facility.
The De-Kastri VTMS was established in 2014 and includes the control center located in the De-Kastri seaport, as well as the radio-technical post at "Cape Davydov," situated 208 meters above sea level at the northeast tip of Chikhachev Bay.
Each year, the De-Kastri VTMS oversees the movement of over 3,500 vessels, with around 300 vessels making port calls at the De-Kastri seaport.
