Sevmash Production Association (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, USC) is performing maintenance services for fourth-generation nuclear-powered submarines (SSBNs). According to the enterprise's press service, on January 30th, in a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Sevmash is the only contractor for such work.
The maintenance is carried out on ballistic missile submarines built by the enterprise and transferred to the Navy under the "Borey," "Borey-A," "Yasen," and "Yasen-M" projects. Sevmash assumes five-year warranty obligations for five SSBNs. In 2022, a new three-year state contract was signed for the maintenance of the "Yasen-M" project submarine.
Sevmash specialists are continuously working on warranty supervision of the submarines as well as technical servicing of equipment, systems, and armament complexes. The company's branches operate at the bases of modern ships in the Northern and Pacific Fleets.
In 2022, Sevmash completed scheduled dry-docking work on the lead submarine of the "Yasen" project, "Severodvinsk," in a tight timeframe. These works were carried out to ensure the ship's participation in the Main Naval Parade in St. Petersburg.
